About The Role
The Peraton Health Sector is seeking a Software Development Lead Associate to join us in supporting and maintaining the Medicare Fee-For-Service claims processing system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, code, unit test, debug enhancements/fixes for health claims systems while adhering to strict coding standards.
- Participate as a senior member of an Agile team supporting maintenance and operations in the mainframe legacy DME system.
- Lead development of complex components within the mainframe environment using COBOL, Assembler, JCL, CICS, TSO, VSAM.
- Handle installing changes into internal testing regions and troubleshooting defects.
- Mentor junior/mid-level developers on a highly structured SAFe Agile/Scrum team.
Qualifications:
Educational & Experience Requirements: BS/BA with 6+ years relevant experience; or Masters with 4 years; or HS diploma with 10+ years. Must have mainframe development proficiency and knowledge of Medicare Fee for Service claims processing.
- Demonstrated senior software developer ability in a rigorous structured environment.
- Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps tools (GitHub, Jira).
- SAFe experience/certification required.
Benefits & Salary
Details Target Salary Range: $86,000 - $138,000 based on scope and location. Peraton offers medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, and more.
