Role Overview

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Mumbai is seeking a skilled COBOL Developer with strong expertise in the Banking Domain for their enterprise banking systems team. This role requires hands-on experience in application development, maintenance, and production support within large-scale financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain robust COBOL-based applications tailored to banking needs.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug complex COBOL programs for optimal system performance.
• Perform defect fixing, root cause analysis, and code corrections for production and UAT issues.
• Work extensively with PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, and database-related activities.
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective solutions.
• Participate actively in coding, testing, deployment, and post-production support activities.
• Ensure strict adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and SLA commitments.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in COBOL Development (Mandatory).
• Good knowledge of PL/SQL programming.
• Demonstrated expertise in the Banking Domain (Essential).
• Understanding of application support, debugging techniques, and issue resolution processes.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
