Data Science Co-op Position (Spring 2027)

Join the Volvo Group in Greensboro, NC as a Data Science Co-op. You will analyze vehicle, simulation, and test data to identify trends, anomalies, and improvement opportunities.

• Cleaning, transforming, and structuring raw datasets for analysis and modeling using Python and SQL.
• Developing and maintaining automated data pipelines, scripts, and notebooks.
• Creating interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Streamlit) to communicate key insights to engineering teams and stakeholders.
• Leveraging AI-assisted tools and Generative AI techniques for code generation, analysis automation, and productivity enhancement.
• Building predictive models using vehicle data to identify performance issues or emerging trends.
• Supporting the development of digital twin capabilities by ensuring high-quality input data.

This role offers hands-on experience with machine learning workflows (scikit-learn, TensorFlow), modern AI concepts like prompt engineering and embeddings, and contributing to Volvo's broader digitalization transformation in heavy-duty vehicle systems. You will work collaboratively on automation projects that reduce manual effort and improve consistency across the organization.
