About the Role
Join Pegasystems' Cloud Security Engineering (CSE) team as a Cloud Security Engineer in Bengaluru/Bangalore, India. CSE is dedicated to safeguarding our organization's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. We achieve this by designing and implementing robust security measures, developing comprehensive security policies, conducting thorough assessments, configuring security tools, and providing expert guidance for secure cloud environments. We collaborate closely with Cloud Service Reliability and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure all solutions are secure, reliable, available, and observable.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage security controls across AWS and GCP environments to proactively defend against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Automate routine security tasks through scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
- Manage security incidents and respond effectively to security alerts.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Provide essential security guidance and best practices to cross-functional teams.
- Continuously research and stay informed about the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.
What You Bring
- A strong passion for cloud technologies, with a solid understanding of AWS core concepts and services.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python or Ansible, for automation.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration best practices.
- A firm grasp of cloud security concepts and established best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cloud Security or Cloud Engineering.
- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, policies, and best practices.
- Demonstrated experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, source code management (e.g., Git), and containerization technologies.
Desired
- Experience with container security and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience in building applications that leverage API integrations.
