About the Cloud Security Engineering Team
Our Cloud Security Engineering (CSE) team is dedicated to safeguarding our organization's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data. We achieve this by designing, implementing, and maintaining robust security measures. Our responsibilities include developing security policies, conducting thorough assessments, configuring essential security tools, and providing expert guidance to ensure secure cloud environments. We collaborate closely with the Cloud Service Reliability and Cloud Engineering teams to guarantee that every solution is not only secure but also reliable, available, and observable.

Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage security controls within AWS and GCP environments to proactively defend against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Automate routine security tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
- Manage and respond to security incidents and alerts effectively.
- Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive security policies and procedures.
- Provide essential security guidance and support to various teams across the organization.
- Continuously research and stay informed about the latest security threats, trends, and best practices.
Qualifications We're Looking For
- A passion for cloud technologies and a solid understanding of AWS core concepts and services.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python or Ansible.
- Knowledge of Linux operating systems and system administration principles.
- A strong grasp of cloud security concepts and industry best practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
What You've Achieved
- Required:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in Cloud Security or Cloud Engineering.
- A good understanding of cloud security principles, policies, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages such as Python or Ansible.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, source code management, and containerization technologies.
- Desired:
- Experience with securing containerized environments and Kubernetes.
- Experience utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Experience in building applications that leverage API integrations.
