Tarana Wireless is seeking talented and driven Automation QA Engineers to join our Product QA team in Pune, India. You will play a crucial role in verifying and validating our large-scale distributed cloud application. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to product automation, develop essential tools, and establish high standards for product quality. You will gain a comprehensive, top-down understanding of the Tarana Cloud Suite, its intricate components (including microservices, UI, and databases), data and control flows, AWS cloud runtime infrastructure, and the network communications with our radio devices. A deep dive into the application's runtime behavior, performance implications, infrastructure tuning, and capacity management will be integral to your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Acquire in-depth knowledge of the Tarana Cloud Suite architecture and all its constituent components.
• Design, develop, and refine our existing Python-based automation framework.
• Create robust UI test scripts using Playwright or equivalent tools.
• Automate system, scale, and performance tests, particularly for REST APIs.
• Actively participate in feature design meetings, develop comprehensive test plans, author test cases, and execute tests.
• Review test plans and test code developed by fellow team members.
• Take ownership of regression test areas, ensuring sustained product quality amidst code evolution.
• Identify, track, and manage defects through their entire resolution and verification lifecycle.
• Maintain effective communication of project and testing status to all relevant stakeholders.
• Debug customer-reported issues and meticulously reproduce them in lab environments.
• Contribute to the development of tools that enhance test efficiency and management.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
• 2 to 12 years of QA automation experience, specifically using Python for microservices-based SaaS products deployed on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles.
• Proven experience in functional and system-level testing of APIs (REST API, JSON, XML) and Frontends (UI).
• Proficiency with Playwright or similar tools for UI automation.
• Strong grasp of QA processes and Agile methodologies.
• Exposure to Linux environments and familiarity with Docker containers and VMs.
• Knowledge of networking concepts, including switching and routing.
• Familiarity with technologies such as ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana) and Kafka.
• Exceptional debugging and analytical skills with a problem-solving orientation.
• Experience with Selenium or equivalent tools for UI automation.
• Proficiency in using Jira and Confluence for project management and documentation.
