As a Cloud Governance Engineer based in Chennai, you will be instrumental in establishing and enforcing governance and compliance controls across our multi-cloud environment, encompassing GCP, AWS, and Azure. Your role will be crucial in ensuring our cloud operations meet stringent security and compliance standards, including SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, and FedRAMP, while fostering a secure environment for rapid innovation. You will collaborate closely with IT, Security, DevOps, Cloud Architects, Product Engineering, and Finance to ensure operational excellence across global platforms.

Responsibilities

• Automate governance and compliance processes using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
• Build, manage, and optimize cloud environments, covering deployments, migrations, access management, and setup.
• Support regulatory compliance (SOC 2, GDPR, and others) and audit readiness.
• Develop Python-based automation tools for simplified governance and operational workflows.
• Enhance operational efficiency by addressing Jira tickets and collaborating across various teams.
• Uphold high standards of cloud security, scalability, and reliability through consistent governance.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of experience with cloud platforms, with a preference for GCP, and proficiency in AWS or Azure.
• Demonstrated expertise in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices.
• Strong Python programming skills for automation and scripting.
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployments, migrations, and access management.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks like SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, or similar.
• Experience utilizing GitLab and Jira for cloud engineering workflows.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work autonomously in a dynamic environment.

Nice to have:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Relevant Cloud Certifications.
