This pivotal role involves the design, deployment, and comprehensive management of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in implementing cutting-edge cloud solutions, optimizing both performance and costs, and ensuring strict adherence to security and governance standards. You will collaborate closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to effectively support modern cloud-native applications.

Key Responsibilities for this Cloud Engineer role:

• Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Deploy, manage, and monitor cloud environments to guarantee high availability and optimal performance.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using robust Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and proactively manage cost efficiency.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment processes.
• Configure and manage containerized applications utilizing Docker and Kubernetes.
• Enforce stringent cloud security best practices, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security configurations.
• Ensure full compliance with organizational and relevant regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud-related issues and provide expert technical support.
• Meticulously document cloud architecture, configurations, and operational procedures for future reference and team knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Qualifications for Cloud Engineering:

• Demonstrable hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong knowledge and practical experience with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
• Experience utilizing CI/CD tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of fundamental networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, DNS, and firewalls.
• Good knowledge of cloud security principles and established best practices.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration is essential.
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills are required.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.

Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

• Relevant cloud certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Azure Administrator.
• Experience with cloud monitoring tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Exposure to serverless architectures and microservices patterns.
• Prior experience working within Agile/DevOps environments.
