As a Cloud Engineer at Planon, you will be instrumental in managing and continuously improving our Cloud platform, ensuring its stability, availability, and the implementation of new functionalities to deliver superior services at reduced costs. You will translate customer needs into robust software designs, aiming for optimal availability and modernization of our offerings.
With an 'automate everything' mindset, you will maintain, monitor, secure, and enhance our Cloud platform. A key aspect of this role involves supporting existing client-server solutions (Windows Server / SQL Server) and facilitating their gradual migration to our modern Cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and customers to refine and update these processes.
Staying ahead of industry trends, you will explore and implement container technologies (e.g., Kubernetes) and public cloud services (AWS, Azure). We foster a challenging environment where you will work with world-renowned brands and innovative products, supported by excellent career development opportunities. You will be part of a team dedicated to creating and maintaining a world-class, globally operating Cloud platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and guarantee the continuity and availability of the Cloud platform, adhering to service-level agreements.
- Contribute to the quality improvement of processes, procedures, and information provision.
- Track and manage tickets, providing substantive feedback and ensuring appropriate resolution.
- Address cloud-related inquiries from partners, internal teams, and external customers.
- Support the migration of Windows/SQL-based client-server environments to the corporate cloud platform.
- Maintain non-cloud-native infrastructure, including VMware hosted platforms.
- Research, test, and implement new Cloud technologies.
- Participate in a 24/7 cloud standby service rotation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Bachelor's or University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer.
- Hands-on experience with public cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
- Proficiency in Azure services including SQL Managed Instance, Service Fabric, Service Bus, and Entra ID.
- Experience supporting client-server architectures and migrating them to cloud-based infrastructure.
- A strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code principles, with knowledge of Bicep, Jenkins, or Terraform being a significant advantage.
- Familiarity with ticket-based workflows using tools like Azure DevOps or Jira is a plus.
Planon offers a healthy work-life balance, hybrid working options, and a collaborative learning environment with continuous development and training opportunities.
