S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a highly skilled and driven Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal for the business, directly contributing to the development and maintenance of cloud-based DevOps solutions specifically on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in developing and deploying native cloud-based solutions, a strong affinity for container-based technologies, immutable infrastructure, and a passion for continuous delivery practices in global software deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deploy scalable, highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant systems on AWS for the development and testing lifecycle of AWS Cloud Native solutions.
• Configure and manage the AWS environment for web applications.
• Collaborate with development teams to document and implement best-practice, low-maintenance cloud-native solutions for new products.
• Focus on building containerized application components and integrating with AWS Elastic Container Service (ECS).
• Contribute to application design and architecture, particularly concerning AWS services.
• Manage AWS security groups effectively.
• Work closely with Technical Architects, providing input into the overall solution architecture.
• Implement DevOps technologies and processes, including containerization, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, metrics, and monitoring.
• Leverage experience with networks, security, load balancers, DNS, and other infrastructure components within AWS environments.
• Demonstrate a passion for solving challenging technical issues.
• Promote cooperation and commitment within the team to achieve shared goals.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid understanding of networking, infrastructure, and applications from a DevOps perspective.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services, including ECS/Fargate, ECR, S3/CloudFront, Load Balancing, Lambda, VPC, Route 53, RDS, CloudWatch, EC2, and AWS Security Center.
• Experience managing AWS security groups.
• Proven experience building scalable infrastructure in AWS.
• Experience with one or more AWS SDKs and/or CLI tools.
• Strong experience in automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles.
• Hands-on experience with container platforms.
• Experience with operational tools and applying best practices for infrastructure and software deployment.
• Fundamental understanding of software design, including data structures, algorithm design, and performance analysis.
• Experience working within an Agile development environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a similar field, or a Certified Development Program.
• 2-3 years of experience managing AWS application environments and deployments.
• 5+ years of overall experience working in a development organization.
