Cloud Development Engineer

Join Pegasystems as a Cloud Development Engineer in Hyderabad, India. You will be an integral part of the team responsible for developing the Pega Predictive Diagnostic Cloud (PDC) application. PDC is a cutting-edge SaaS-based performance management solution designed to help Pega customers proactively identify and resolve system health issues before they impact business operations. It enhances traditional Application Performance Management (APM) by prioritizing critical issues for Pega applications and recommending specific corrective actions.

PDC is architected for a SaaS model on Pega Cloud, hosted on AWS, and undergoes frequent upgrades (typically weekly) to incorporate new product changes delivered by the development team.

As a Cloud Service Engineer at Pega, you will be a bright, technically adept individual with strong analytical skills. In our fast-paced, collaborative environment, you will apply innovative thinking to solve complex problems with a strong emphasis on SaaS principles.

What You'll Do:

• Actively contribute to the design and development of the PDC application using the Pega platform as the primary development framework.
• Apply business expertise and employ rigorous logic and creative problem-solving to deliver effective solutions for challenging issues.
• Participate actively in Scrum/DevOps processes for solution development.
• Provide technical guidance and support to customers. Assist the operations team in maintaining and running the PDC application hosted on AWS.

What You've Accomplished:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field or a similar discipline.
• 1-2 years of development experience in Enterprise Applications.
• Proficiency in Java or a comparable programming language (e.g., C#).
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Excellent English communication skills, both spoken and written.

Desired Qualifications:

• Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
• Working experience with Linux and Git.
• Experience with integration technologies, microservices, and web services.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or similar.
• Practical experience with AWS or other leading cloud platforms like Azure or Google Cloud.
• Experience with non-relational databases.
• Prior working experience in an agile/scrum team environment.
