Abbott Laboratories seeks a Clinical Software Engineer II to join our team in Gurgaon, India. This role focuses on supporting critical aspects of clinical trials and data management through innovative software solutions.
Responsibilities
- Execute software testing activities within an Agile framework, specializing in technologies that support clinical trials. This includes custom internal applications and APIs developed in a .NET environment.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive verification and validation test plans, reports, and traceability matrices, ensuring adherence to organizational and regulatory quality standards. Collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to refine these deliverables.
- Build and sustain automated testing frameworks, particularly for .NET applications and their associated APIs. The goal is to ensure extensive coverage for functional, end-to-end, and integration testing scenarios.
- Partner with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and test management systems, thereby accelerating feedback loops within the Agile development lifecycle.
- Transform manual test cases into automated scripts, using system requirements and story acceptance criteria as primary references. Develop scripts for new and complex requirements as needed.
- Contribute feedback to enhance testing methodologies, frameworks, and Agile SDLC processes, driving continuous quality improvement for clinical trial software solutions.
Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Possess hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, tools, and programming languages. A strong preference is given to .NET technologies (e.g., C#), although proficiency in other languages like Python or Java is also acceptable.
- Communication Skills: Demonstrate strong oral and written communication abilities to facilitate effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Software Development Test Engineer or a related role, ideally within environments that utilize .NET-based applications.
