Civil Engineer & Python Expert
Full Job Description
Mindrift is seeking a Civil Engineer with Python expertise for freelance AI training roles. This is a project-based opportunity, not permanent employment. Your responsibilities will include designing computational engineering problems that simulate real-world engineering workflows, requiring Python programming for calculations and simulations. Problems should be computationally intensive and involve numerical methods or iterative solutions, covering system design, optimization, and analysis, often based on real research challenges or practical applications. You will verify solutions using Python and standard engineering libraries, and clearly document problem statements with verified correct answers.
We are looking for engineers with practical experience in Python, open to part-time, non-permanent projects. Ideal candidates will possess a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, proficiency in Python for numerical validation (MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, Stata, or any programming language knowledge is considered equivalent), and over 2 years of professional, research, or teaching experience. A strong understanding of practical engineering constraints and approximations, along with excellent written English (C1+), is essential.
This is a project-based role with estimated weekly time commitments of 10-20 hours during active phases. Compensation is equivalent to up to $9 per hour, varying by project scope, complexity, and required expertise.
