We are seeking a qualified Civil Engineer for the Administration / Estate & Infrastructure department at SKIPS University. This role involves overseeing maintenance, construction, repair, and development of civil infrastructure across our campus in Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar.

Key Responsibilities:

• Civil Maintenance: Supervise repairs of university buildings, hostels, classrooms, labs, washrooms, roofs, walls, and flooring.
• Infrastructure Management: Inspect premises for defects like seepage, cracks, or leakage to ensure building safety.
• Project Supervision: Monitor new construction and renovation projects ensuring quality and timely completion.
• Contractor Management: Coordinate with vendors, architects, and consultants for quotations and execution of civil work.
• Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare cost estimates, Bills of Quantities (BOQ), material requirements, and budget proposals.
• Quality Control: Ensure construction materials and workmanship meet approved specifications and standards.
• Hostel Maintenance: Oversee maintenance of hostel rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, drainage systems, water tanks, and common areas.
• Safety & Compliance: Coordinate structural inspections to comply with building regulations and fire-safety requirements.
• Preventive Maintenance: Develop schedules to minimize breakdowns and major repair expenses.
• Documentation: Maintain records of work orders, contractor bills, material usage, and project progress.
• Coordination: Collaborate with administration, housekeeping, electrical/plumbing teams, and other departments.
• Emergency Repairs: Address urgent infrastructure issues promptly to resolve resident complaints.
• Site Supervision: Conduct site visits to monitor resource utilization.
• Reporting: Submit periodic reports on maintenance activities, project status, expenditure, and pending works.

Educational Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or a Diploma from a recognized institution.

Experience Required:

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in civil construction, building maintenance, or infrastructure management. Experience with educational institutions is preferred.
