CIM Equipment / Factory Automation

Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CIM Equipment Automation Developer to design, develop, and support critical automation systems for our semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role is pivotal in implementing robust Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) solutions, integrating equipment via SECS/GEM protocols, ensuring operational reliability, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• CIM System Engineering: Develop and maintain complex automation systems including Transport Systems, Recipe Management, Remote Control interfaces, Live Equipment Monitoring dashboards, and advanced Fault Detection & Classification algorithms.
• Integration Leadership: Partner closely with fab operations teams to implement scalable CIM solutions through rigorous coding standards, comprehensive testing protocols, and seamless integration of semiconductor equipment via customized SECS/GEM communication hosts.
• Data Engineering: Parse intricate equipment data streams to extract vital process parameters and operational metrics for backend engineering systems.

Maintenance & Support Excellence

• Monitor and maintain critical hardware/software infrastructure to guarantee high uptime and reliability of CIM tools within the cleanroom environment.
• Manage sophisticated database transactions using Oracle packages, focusing on data integrity management and performance optimization.
• Ensure continuous availability of equipment telemetry data transfer while maintaining strict compliance with operational standards.

Culture & Collaboration

• Drive process improvements by collaborating directly with Manufacturing and Quality teams to enhance production efficiency, yield quality, and overall system reliability.
• Actively contribute to Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) projects through rigorous performance checks and innovation proposals.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Automation/Robotics focus), Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science preferred.
• 2–10 years of hands-on experience developing automation systems within CIM environments or semiconductor foundries; familiarity with DevOps toolchains is highly advantageous.
• Demonstrated expertise in C/C++/C#/Java and SQL development (minimum 2 years), alongside sharp troubleshooting skills for hardware/software diagnostics.
• Adaptability to work in strict cleanroom conditions, a strong passion for mastering SEMI standards, and the ability to remain composed under production pressure.
