CIM Equipment / Factory Automation Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support Computer Integrated Manufacturing (CIM) automation systems using vendor technologies for Transport Systems, Recipe Management, Remote Control, Live Monitoring, and Fault Detection.
• Leverage the fab organization to implement robust CIM solutions via quality coding and testing in a clean room environment adhering to SEMI standards.
• Integrate semiconductor equipment utilizing customized SECS/GEM protocols through communication hosts.
• Pursue expertise in equipment communication, performance tracking, job management, and carrier handling.
• Analyze equipment data for process information support backend engineering systems.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing (MFG) and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives across production processes.
• Drive cross-functional efforts to enhance production efficiency and quality standards.
• Provide operational support by monitoring hardware/software, ensuring high uptime of automation tools and CIM systems.
• Manage Oracle DB transactions and packages for data management and performance optimization.
• Maintain equipment tool availability and ensure compliance with operational requirements via regular program updates.
• Troubleshoot CIM issues affecting both hardware and software components in a timely manner.
• Participate in shift handovers, providing detailed feedback on production/engineering team concerns; available for 24x7 operations rotation as needed.

Essential Attributes:

• Demonstrate strong proficiency in C, C#, C++, Java, SQL with a minimum of 2 years development experience.
• Show keen interest and capability to work within clean room environments on Continuous Improvement Plan (CIP) projects.
• Possess a willingness to learn semiconductor manufacturing processes and SEMI standards quickly.
• Maintain urgency in CIM operation support while remaining composed under pressure during production-critical incidents or system failures.
• Exhibit practical problem-solving skills for hardware/software diagnosis across functional teams (Manufacturing, Quality, IT).
• Take a proactive approach to root cause analysis and long-term solution implementation.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork abilities in dynamic manufacturing environments with strict time-management capabilities.
