Role Overview

We are seeking a Chemical Engineering Co-Op student to support biopharmaceutical process development and GMP manufacturing. This role focuses on developing data analysis applications, applying machine learning, mining and visualizing process data, and communicating project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and document software applications to increase the efficiency of advanced data analytics in biotechnology.
• Use machine learning and advanced statistical methods for process understanding, monitoring, and optimization.
• Create workflows for mining, pre-processing, and visualization of data using Python, R, or similar languages.
• Mine process data from IT systems and databases to support analysis.
• Evaluate different machine learning methodologies for application in the lab environment.
• Collaborate with data scientists on bioprocess monitoring, root cause analysis, and improvements.
• Communicate outcomes of development activities effectively to the team.
• Document project results in short technical reports.
