Chemical Engineer

Role Purpose

Drive B2B sales of industrial drying systems within the chemical sector. This involves identifying and engaging with prospective clients, presenting technical solutions, and successfully closing sales to achieve the company's revenue and growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Generation

• Identify and qualify leads from chemical industry databases, trade fairs, and online sources.

Client Engagement

• Conduct client visits, perform plant surveys, and provide technical consultations.

Proposal Submission

• Collaborate with design and estimation teams to ensure timely offer generation.

Sales Conversion

• Manage negotiations, follow-ups, and the closure of Purchase Orders (POs).

Market Intelligence

• Monitor competitor activities, pricing trends, and upcoming projects in the chemical industry.

CRM & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records in the CRM system, track visit logs, monitor pipeline status, and prepare weekly dashboards.

Key Performance Indicators

• Qualified Leads per Month: 15-20
• Technical Presentations Held: 8-10 per month
• Quotations Submitted: Minimum 10 per month
• Conversion Rate: 20%
• Monthly Order Booking Value: Negotiable, based on territory potential (Lakhs/Crores)
• Client Retention / Repeat PO: 1-2 per quarter
• TAT for Proposal Submission: Within 3 working days
• CRM / MIS Reporting Compliance: 100%

Core Competencies

• Deep understanding of drying systems for chemicals, powders, and solvents.
• Aptitude for technical sales, with knowledge of process design.
• Excellent communication and client handling abilities.
• Proficiency with sales tools such as Zoho CRM and MS Office.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor of Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• 1-5 years of experience in capital equipment sales, industrial drying, or thermal processing for chemicals.
• Knowledge of solvent handling/VOC abatement, dust collection, or scrubbers is a plus.
• Must possess a valid driving license.
• Proficiency in English and either Hindi or Bengali.
