CAD QA Engineer

Join a leading global technology firm for a 6-month contract as a Senior QA Engineer specializing in 3D CAD testing for the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) and Manufacturing industries. This role requires hands-on experience with desktop CAD applications like Revit, Civil 3D, Inventor, and Navisworks, alongside a solid understanding of manual and automated testing within an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of manual testing experience for desktop applications.
• Proficiency in testing 3D CAD tools (Revit, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, Inventor, Navisworks).
• Experience with test case creation/execution using Zephyr/XRay or similar.
• Experience with desktop UI automation tools (TestComplete or similar).
• Comfortable in Windows desktop environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in desktop software product and integration testing.
• Exposure to automation frameworks and CI/CD.
• Basic programming skills in C# .NET or Java.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor) and test automation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute comprehensive manual and automated test plans for 3D CAD desktop applications.
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing within Agile sprints.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Zephyr/XRay or similar tools.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to maintain high software quality.
• Participate in bug bashes and release validation.
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to CI/CD automation frameworks.
• Proactively communicate delivery risks and propose mitigation strategies.
