CAD Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Consumer Product CAD Engineer for our Bengaluru-based product development team. This role converts sketches and concepts into accurate, manufacturable CAD models for lifestyle products including bottles, lunch boxes, tiffins, insulated goods, and kitchenware.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D CAD models from concepts and samples in formats like STEP, IGES, STL, OBJ.
• Prepare production-ready DFM files with detailed part drawings, assemblies, and exploded views.
• Validate manufacturability: wall thickness, draft angles, tolerances, undercuts, ribs, snap fits, and assembly feasibility.
• Collaborate with tooling vendors to revise CAD based on sampling feedback.
• Create technical illustrations explaining form, grip mechanisms, and usage.

Required Skills:

• Experience: 1–4 years in consumer product/CAD engineering (plastics, kitchenware, FMCG).
• CAD Tools: SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino, AutoCAD.
• DfM Knowledge: Plastic moulding, silicone/metal components, tooling logic.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication with vendors/factories and ability to visualize ergonomics.
