Goodwin Recruiting, a leader in the food distribution sector, is actively seeking a dedicated Ethnic Segment Specialist for our operations in Pasadena, TX. This pivotal role is designed to spearhead strategic growth initiatives within the vibrant multicultural foodservice market, with a particular emphasis on engaging and expanding our presence among Hispanic and Mexican cuisine operators. The Specialist will be instrumental in fostering strong community relationships and driving market share expansion across both independent and regional restaurant segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive strategic prospecting plans to enhance market share within the Hispanic/Mexican cuisine segments.
- Craft and deliver compelling, value-driven sales presentations to prospective clients.
- Leverage CRM and advanced contact management tools to meticulously manage pipeline activities and forecast growth accurately.
- Apply sophisticated customer profitability models and strategic pricing strategies to effectively negotiate agreements.
- Ensure the successful onboarding of new accounts, facilitating a seamless transition to dedicated account management teams.
- Represent the company professionally at key industry events, trade shows, and culinary community gatherings.
- Proactively gather and disseminate critical market intelligence, including emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and best practices.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales teams to provide essential education and strategic guidance on segment-specific dynamics.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 4 years of progressive business development experience within the foodservice, distribution, or related B2B sectors.
- A proven track record of successfully closing new business and demonstrably growing territory revenue.
- Substantial experience in developing market strategies and identifying significant growth opportunities.
- Proficiency in pricing strategy, margin analysis, and a strong understanding of P&L drivers.
- Exceptional presentation skills coupled with robust written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness and ability to travel within the market approximately 20–30% of the time.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
