We are actively seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to lead a key team within our Cat Solutions & Services (CS&S) division. This role is crucial for driving growth through strategic data analysis, innovative strategy development, and impactful marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement advanced analytical tools and business solutions to enhance lead generation, expand portfolio offerings, and optimize commercial execution for CS&S.
- Collaborate closely with our dealer network and internal commercial teams to co-create practical tools that directly support sales processes, contract management, and customer value realization.
- Utilize data and analytics to provide actionable insights, track performance metrics, and generate comprehensive reports for both internal stakeholders and our valued customers.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of dealer and customer portfolios, contracts, and performance trends to inform strategic decision-making.
- Spearhead improvements in our data architecture, operational systems, and reporting capabilities to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Take ownership of and execute the business systems strategy, ensuring its direct alignment with CS&S growth objectives.
- Drive momentum and ensure effective execution across system enhancements, data analytics projects, and cross-functional team priorities.
- Foster deep integration and prioritize initiatives collaboratively with JSS Commercial, Operations, and Condition Monitoring teams.
- Streamline critical communication channels among Product Groups, Go-To-Market (GTM) teams, and other essential process partners.
- Lead marketing efforts and strategic communications to effectively articulate value propositions, convey key insights, and highlight growth opportunities.
- Manage and mentor a team of 5 direct reports, including specialists in IT/data, dealer development, and marketing communications.
- Cultivate a collaborative, results-oriented culture that emphasizes clear goal setting, accountability, and professional development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated strong business development and commercial acumen, with proven experience supporting sales, contract management, and portfolio growth.
- A solid understanding of the business models within Resource Industries (RI) and/or Construction Industries (CI).
- Proven ability to partner effectively with dealers, customers, and commercial teams to drive growth through the implementation of robust tools, insightful analytics, and streamlined processes.
- A strategic mindset with the capacity to define, prioritize, and execute initiatives that align with overarching growth objectives. Deep understanding of data architecture, system enhancements, and performance metrics reporting.
- Substantial experience in marketing strategy and commercial communications.
- Proficiency in successful negotiation concepts and techniques, with the ability to negotiate constructively and collaboratively across the organization and with external vendors and clients.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to lead, develop, and inspire a diverse team.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology, and services, with the ability to clearly articulate product/service value and differentiate support offerings to meet well-understood customer needs.
