Skyline Technology Solutions, a prominent technology consulting firm in Maryland, is seeking a dynamic Business Developer to spearhead sales and service growth. This role is crucial for building and nurturing strong relationships across all organizational levels. You will be instrumental in developing a strategic business development plan, expertly managing the sales pipeline, and forging lasting connections with key decision-makers to generate sustainable, recurring revenue streams. Your focus will be on driving new sales within assigned existing accounts and prospects, as well as identifying and capitalizing on greenfield opportunities in your designated regions. A key aspect of this position involves positioning Skyline's comprehensive suite of IT and physical security solutions to the right stakeholders. You will establish and 'own' relationships with influential individuals and C-level executives within client organizations. The ideal candidate will balance immediate revenue wins with the cultivation of long-term, multi-year engagements, ultimately aiming to become a trusted IT and physical security partner. This involves assisting clients in developing, crafting, and prioritizing their strategic roadmaps. You must demonstrate an adept ability to navigate complex sales environments with multiple stakeholders and influencers. Responsibilities include conducting sales visits and presentations, collaborating with Skyline solutions architects to effectively communicate our value propositions, and maintaining up-to-date solution expertise. You will also contribute to sales and marketing documentation and actively seek ways to make initial sales encounters more compelling. Engaging in Skyline sales campaigns, educating customers and prospects, and gathering valuable feedback to refine campaigns are essential. Attending conferences and industry events to prospect and enhance Skyline's market presence is also part of the role. You will collaborate with Skyline partner management teams and regional counterparts to maintain strong relationships with strategic partners. Developing and quarterly updating strategic capture plans for your accounts, including metrics and initiatives, is critical. Performance reporting on a quarterly basis, detailing progress against plans and projected revenue, along with proposed changes for subsequent initiatives, is required. Meticulous record-keeping of all communication and meeting content within the CRM, including weekly projection updates with clear rationale and impact analysis, is paramount. Working with the division lead for pricing and proposals to develop competitive RFP responses and SOWs, and providing win announcements are also key duties. Finally, you will populate the Sales to Delivery PowerPoint template and coordinate internal kickoff meetings for new sales to ensure alignment on deliverables and strategy.
