We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to act as a vital link between business needs and IT solutions. In this role, you will support applications within a Delivery Team, focusing on eliciting and documenting comprehensive requirements, including business, functional, non-functional, and technical aspects. Your responsibilities will extend to supporting quality assurance testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), as well as triaging incoming issues, defects, and enhancement requests. You will also contribute to projects that directly impact the applications you support.
What you will be doing
- Collect, challenge, facilitate, and document business requirements, defining business specifications.
- Implement configuration changes in core products to align with business needs.
- Validate IT solutions to ensure they meet business requirements, collaborating with development and test teams for clarity.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis for Problem Management and support operational tasks.
- Perform deliverable reviews and measure deliverable quality.
- Collaborate with Transformation Change Delivery process resources to ensure requirements integrate seamlessly and avoid gaps.
- Identify opportunities for process efficiency improvements through requirement analysis.
You will report to the Analyst Lead.
What you will bring
- A strong ability to understand general business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Comprehensive technical knowledge across all phases of applications systems analysis.
- Proficiency in working with data and complex systems.
- Familiarity with the Genius insurance application is preferred.
- Experience within the insurance or technology sectors.
- Experience with various SDLC methodologies, especially Agile principles.
- Proficiency in Business Analyst methodologies such as Use Cases, Business Rule Development, User Interface Specs, and Functional Specs.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with a strong team orientation.
- Detail-oriented, technically motivated, creative, and user-focused approach.
- Ability to assess and communicate the impact of system functionality and technical approaches on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Skill in managing ambiguity, creating accurate project estimates, and quantifying project-specific risks.
