Role and Responsibilities: Staff – GDS CTORS E2E

As a GDS CTORS E2E Staff member, you will be instrumental in client service delivery. Reporting to a Manager, you will support senior team members in service delivery and team operations, focusing on developing and coaching team members and ensuring effective resource deployment. Cultivating collaborative relationships with clients and colleagues is expected.

GTRS offers a streamlined approach to client engagement management, encompassing:

• Providing operational management support for complex regulatory affairs across multiple jurisdictions.
• Managing the entire engagement lifecycle, including reporting standards.
• Offering project management support.
• Ensuring smooth service delivery in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Globally, Global Tax Reporting Services (GTRS) operations are predominantly conducted in local countries, necessitating a broad network of EY professionals to collaborate and meet client expectations. A central GTRS team works in conjunction with this global network of EY professionals to ensure clients' global compliance and reporting obligations are met punctually. The GTRS team manages engagements collaboratively with GTRS practices operating from local offices across the Americas, EMEIA, and APAC.

The Opportunity

This role involves working on various client accounts/engagements, where you will be responsible for delivering all service management aspects of multi-national engagements.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Support and Reporting

As a Tax Staff member, you will:

• Undertake training on the Tax Operations Command Center (TOCC) tool.
• Validate client data and liaise with US-based teams to obtain missing information.
• Develop knowledge of tax technical areas and become familiar with IRS forms W-8 and W-9 requirements.
• Analyze and manage client data.
• Determine applicable tax treatments.
• Engage in email communications.
• Receive comprehensive training to acquire the necessary skills for the Vanguard project, with ongoing on-the-job learning to enhance tax knowledge.

Skills and Attributes for Success

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A solid understanding of baseline U.S. Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) regulations.
• Knowledge of tax technical issues and processes pertinent to U.S. individual and non-individual entities, including familiarity with IRS forms W-8 & W-9 requirements and CRS.
• Consistently deliver high-quality work with integrity, maintaining vigilance for audit standards and requirements.
• Contribute to client satisfaction by providing timely and effective responses to client needs and concerns.
• Assist Seniors and Managers on special projects as required.
• Demonstrate professionalism and poise in demeanor, attitude, communication, behavior, and interaction with others.
• Ability to manage tight deadlines effectively.
• Meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong problem identification and solving skills.

Additional Skills Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

What We Look For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Commerce.
• One to two years of experience working with major global corporations (e.g., Big 4 firms, Finance Shared Services).
• 1-2 years of relevant industry experience with practical knowledge of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) as it applies to U.S. individual and non-individual entities, and an understanding of W-8 and W-9 requirements.
