Mission of the Role

As a Bluetooth Engineer for our In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) platform and products, your primary mission will be to design, build, and implement robust Bluetooth applications and stacks that meet customer and end-user needs, ensuring seamless Bluetooth functionality across our cutting-edge systems.

Key Objectives of this Role

Your core objective as a Bluetooth developer is to create software solutions that enhance user experience and device connectivity. You will leverage your programming expertise to develop new software and refine existing applications for Infotainment systems, Clusters, mobile apps, and Emulators. This role involves problem-solving through code and contributing to innovative, high-quality automotive solutions.

Key Performance Indicators

Performance will be evaluated based on metrics including:

• Sprint Completion Rate: Achieve 85% or higher completion of planned items per sprint.
• Issue Resolution: Ensure no critical issues remain open for more than one month.
• Process Compliance: Strictly adhere to all software compliance processes, including ASPICE standards.

Key Year One Deliverables

In your first year, you are expected to:

• Gain in-depth expertise in Bluetooth features within the infotainment domain.
• Effectively plan sprint activities and provide accurate estimations.
• Assess and ensure the overall quality of code, focusing on readability, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Qualification, Experience and Skills

• Master's/Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in Bluetooth development or as an Android framework developer.
• Strong knowledge of Bluetooth features and protocols.
• Proficiency in C, C++, and Java programming languages.
• Working experience with Android AOSP or Linux-based infotainment systems and build environments.
• Skilled in capturing and analyzing Bluetooth sniffer and HCI logs.
• Experience in executing PTS test cases in Launch Studio for Bluetooth SIG certification.

Reporting Structure

This role reports to the Project/Platform Lead responsible for the Bluetooth feature within their assigned Project/Platform.
