Backend Software Engineer II

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Batch Developer Experience Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you will focus on making batch development and testing faster, more reliable, and scalable.

Key Responsibilities

• Workflow Optimization: Partner closely with product managers, infrastructure engineers, and other stakeholders to build tools that streamline workflows and enhance testing capabilities.
• Distributed Systems Expertise: Work on complex distributed systems leveraging expertise in AWS, MySQL, Kubernetes, and scalable architecture.
• Maintenance & Stability: Support "keep the lights on" activities, handle on-call responsibilities to maintain system availability, and create metrics for operational stability.
• Collaboration: Participate in ideation sessions, articulate technical constraints, contribute to decision-making processes, and engage in knowledge sharing/mentorship.
• Quality Assurance: Debug code, conduct reviews, ensure best practices, and assist in building automation tools for batch workloads.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1.5+ years as a software engineer with proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in backend system design, deployment, and debugging within large codebases.
