Senior Backend & Integration Engineer - Gurugram, India

RSM US in India is seeking a Senior Backend & Integration Engineer for their Gurugram office. This role is pivotal in designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend services and enterprise integrations that power the NAS AI Ecosystem. The ideal candidate will focus on building secure, scalable APIs and seamlessly integrating enterprise and third-party systems to ensure reliable data and service flow across AI platforms and applications. You will collaborate closely with frontend, AI, data, and platform teams to deliver production-ready backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs for AI-enabled applications.
• Build secure, scalable, and high-performance REST and event-driven services.
• Integrate enterprise systems, AI platforms, and third-party tools.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control mechanisms.
• Ensure backend services adhere to stringent performance, reliability, and security standards.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive API documentation and integration specifications.
• Support asynchronous and message-based integration patterns.
• Optimize backend services for scalability and cost efficiency in cloud environments.
• Collaborate with Platform and SRE teams to ensure production readiness and operational excellence.
• Participate actively in testing, code reviews, and CI/CD pipeline development.

Requirements:

• Strong backend development experience in Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js.
• Proven experience designing and consuming REST APIs and microservices.
• Solid understanding of integration patterns and middleware technologies.
• Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Proficiency in OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT.
• Experience with cloud-native development, preferably on Azure.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as Kafka, Service Bus, or RabbitMQ.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience integrating AI/ML services.
• Exposure to event-driven or serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of API gateways and enterprise integration platforms.
• Relevant Cloud or backend framework certifications are a plus.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree.
