Backend Engineer

The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Rust to join our founding team. You will design and implement robust, scalable backend systems capable of handling high transaction volumes while maintaining top-tier security standards.

Key Responsibilities
- System Architecture: Design and develop reliable services for our payment processing platform using Rust (Go is also acceptable).
- Code Excellence: Write clean, efficient code; conduct rigorous code reviews to uphold best practices.
- Scalability & Reliability: Build systems that perform at high speed with maximum availability as we scale globally.
- Security Focus: Implement critical security defenses in the fintech industry where trust is paramount.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with front-end engineers and product managers to define features and deliver quality products.
- Innovation: Stay ahead of fintech trends; evaluate new tools and propose technological improvements.

Qualifications
- 2+ years in backend development, including at least 1 year with Rust or Go.
- Proven ability to design scalable, performance-oriented services using Rust.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
- Knowledge of cryptographic techniques and security protocols is highly desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
