
Backend Engineer
Full Job Description
As a Backend Engineer at Plane, you will be instrumental in developing core features for our user-centric platform. Your responsibilities will include enhancing real-time data synchronization, optimizing database and system performance through advanced caching and connection pooling, and improving service reliability with robust observability, monitoring, and alerting systems for prompt incident response. You will also drive strategic architectural and infrastructural upgrades to expand our service capabilities and contribute meaningfully to the open-source community by sharing our innovations. We expect you to set new industry standards for software development practices, delivering unparalleled quality to the global market.
The ideal candidate possesses 2-3 years of experience in building high-quality backend systems, with strong proficiency in Python and full-stack development. You should be a self-starter, comfortable taking ownership of tasks, and experienced in both mono repo and microservices architectures. A proven track record in similar roles and a dedication to delivering high-quality products are essential.
Tech Stack: Django/Python, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Redis, AWS Cloud with Kubernetes (k8s), message queues, scheduling, monitoring tools (DataDog, Sentry), GitHub, Django, PGAdmin, Postman, Pytest.
