Unbreakable Backend Architecture: Architect high-throughput, event-driven microservices using Kafka and Redis, embedding resilience patterns like circuit breakers, health checks, and fallback mechanisms to handle massive traffic spikes without manual intervention.
Data and Performance Ownership: Own the unit economics of the data layer; optimise MySQL and MongoDB queries, design efficient schemas, and ensure sub-second p99 latencies with predictable infrastructure costs on GCP.
End-to-End Golden Path Ownership: Drive features from design docs to Kubernetes deployment, ensuring high reliability through strong engineering practices and maintaining low change failure rates and minimal Sev-1 incidents.
API and Service Design Excellence: Build clean, versioned, and backwards-compatible APIs and modular microservices with a strong focus on maintainability, scalability, and clear service contracts.
Cloud-Native Operations and Observability: Design and operate services on Kubernetes with robust logging, monitoring, and alerting; proactively debug production issues and ensure high availability.
Scalability and Cost Efficiency: Continuously optimise system throughput, fault tolerance, and infrastructure utilisation to support high growth while maintaining strict control over cloud costs.
