Backend Engineer

Ridecell is seeking a Backend Engineer specializing in Platform to join our growing team in Pune, India. You will play a key role in developing and enhancing our cutting-edge fleet automation and mobility platform. As a Backend Engineer - Platform at Ridecell, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems that power our innovative solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our global clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional experience in Python development.
• Proven experience in designing network APIs, particularly RESTful services.
• Demonstrated strong refactoring skills to improve code quality and maintainability.
• Experience with automated testing methodologies and frameworks.
• Excellent debugging and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Python Django framework.
• Expertise in PostgreSQL database management and optimization.
• Strong skills in architecting relational database-backed web applications.
• Experience with code reviewing best practices.
• Familiarity with Data Analysis techniques.
• Experience working with B2B software solutions.
• Exposure to web frontend development.
• Previous experience working in a startup environment.
• Experience in founding or contributing to a startup.
• Product design experience.
• Engineering management or program management experience.
• DevOps principles and practices.
• Embedded development or mobile app development experience are a plus.
