Backend Engineer

Join Pulp Strategy as a Backend Engineer in Delhi, India, a dynamic role blending CMS expertise, custom API building, and backend system automation. You will architect and implement scalable backend systems using PHP/Laravel, Drupal, and Python. This position involves building REST APIs, managing complex CMS logic within Drupal and WordPress, and integrating essential workflow services. Your primary responsibilities will include developing modular and scalable backend logic, owning Drupal backend configurations (Content Types, Views, Admin UI, Custom Modules), and managing custom WordPress functionality. You will also be instrumental in building backend workflows using tools like n8n for automation, integrating external services, and supporting embedding, retrieval, and search workflows. Deployment and maintenance on Linux servers (Hostinger, cPanel, AWS EC2) using Git workflows are also key. The ideal candidate possesses 2-4 years of backend development experience, a strong understanding of CMS ecosystems and custom backend workflows, familiarity with Python scripting, and proficiency in version control, SQL, and API handling. A keen eye for detail, strong debugging skills, and a sense of ownership are essential for ensuring uptime, performance, and security of critical systems.
