About the Role

We are hiring a talented Backend Engineer for our founding India team at a high-growth, VC-backed SaaS company. This role is available remotely across India in partnership with Flexiple.

Your Mission

You will be responsible for designing, building, and operating the critical services and APIs that power our core workflows. Your focus will be on correctness, performance, reliability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

• API & Services Development: Design and build robust REST or GraphQL APIs for web and mobile clients.
  Model data efficiently using relational and NoSQL stores.
  Write comprehensive integration and unit tests to prevent regressions.

• Performance & Reliability: Profile, optimize slow endpoints and background jobs. Instrument services with robust logging, metrics, and alerts for proactive monitoring.

• Incident Management: Participate in on-call rotations to resolve production incidents swiftly.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are a mid-level engineer with 2-6 years of experience building backend services using Java, Python, Go, or Node.js. You possess:

• Strong expertise in relational databases, indexing strategies, and query performance optimization.

• A clear understanding of API design patterns and versioning for multi-client applications.

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
