Full Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with over 2.5 years of experience to join our team in Gurgaon/Gurugram, India. This permanent role involves designing, developing, and scaling robust backend systems and APIs that are high-performance, reliable, and secure. You will be instrumental in building the core of our platform, working closely with product and frontend teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
Build RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs using Node.js and Python.
Contribute to system architecture, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
Collaborate with frontend teams (React, Next.js) for seamless integrations.
Manage and optimise SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity.
Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices.
Deploy and manage backend services on AWS.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues.

Requirements

A minimum of 2.5 years of professional backend development experience.
Strong proficiency in Node.js and/or Python.
Proven experience in designing and building RESTful APIs.
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
Working knowledge of React, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Experience with AWS cloud services and version control systems like Git.
Solid understanding of scalability, performance optimisation, and system design principles.

Good To Have

Experience with GraphQL.
Strong understanding of API design patterns and best practices.
Familiarity with data modelling and query optimisation techniques.
Experience building high-throughput or low-latency systems.
