Backend Engineer

Infilect is seeking a talented Backend Engineer with 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in Python and Django to join our team in Bengaluru / Bangalore, India. We are looking for an individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, preferably with startup experience and a proven track record in building scalable backend and cloud applications. You will play a key role in developing robust Python-driven applications that power our visual intelligence solutions for the retail sector.

About The Position

This role involves collaborating with product managers to define backend development tasks across short, medium, and long-term horizons. You will mentor junior Python/back-end developers, guiding them through the design, coding, testing, and execution phases of various projects. A significant part of your responsibility will include designing REST APIs for both front-end and back-end integration, and developing software and systems to support machine learning models. You will be involved in rapid experimentation, analysis, and deployment of application servers and logic driven by machine learning. Furthermore, you will contribute to building and managing pipelines for dataset annotation, management, and storage, as well as overseeing code management, product versioning, deployment, and monitoring. Scaling the backend infrastructure through load balancers, asynchronous processing, and automation will be a crucial aspect of this role. You will also be responsible for designing and documenting processes and managing documentation effectively.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in Django/Python/Backend stack.
• A strong passion and drive for scalable backend product development.
• Experience in managing backend design, documentation, and deployment processes.
• Proven ability as a smart programmer with strong analytical skills, including at least 2 years of extensive and production-grade coding experience in Python.
• Experience with REST API development, system, and large-scale product development is a plus.
• Familiarity with Public Cloud Services such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
