Backend Engineer (SDE-2) at Inamo - Bangalore
Inamo is seeking a proactive and hands-on Backend Engineer (SDE-2) to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be instrumental in diving deep into system issues, understanding complex architectures, and implementing effective solutions. You will be responsible for the end-to-end design, development, and ownership of backend features, ensuring exceptional quality, reliability, and maintainability. At Inamo, we build robust backend systems that power the core logistics operations across our warehouses and last-mile delivery networks. Our primary focus is on developing scalable, reliable, and event-driven systems that address real-world operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Last Mile Systems (LMS), Rider Lifecycle management, Operations Platforms, and Multi-Tenant SaaS Infrastructure.
- Build and maintain high-performance backend services using Node.js.
- Design, implement, and manage robust APIs and internal services.
- Actively participate in system and database design discussions.
- Debug and resolve critical production issues efficiently.
- Uphold and improve code quality, performance, and system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers on intricate and large-scale systems.
- Take full ownership of feature delivery, from initial development through to successful deployment.
Required Qualifications:
- 2 to 4 years of professional backend development experience.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency in Node.js and experience with REST API development.
- Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Comfort and experience working with production systems.
- A proactive and inquisitive mindset, especially when encountering and resolving issues.
- Proven ability to execute features independently and deliver results.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in system design and architecture.
