Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs within a microservices architecture.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code to ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work with databases, caching layers, and messaging queues to support backend operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality product features.
• Implement and uphold best practices for security, testing, and system monitoring.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Go, Python, or Node.js.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their application in backend development.
• Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
• Familiarity with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.

Good to Have:

• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Exposure to system design principles and building scalable architectures.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools for system health.
• Previous experience working in fast-paced startup environments.
