Full Job Description
HBK is seeking a talented Backend Engineer specializing in AI/ML to join our platform team in a fully remote, agile environment. This role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining scalable enterprise applications and backend services, with opportunities to contribute to our data-driven and intelligent platform initiatives. You will collaborate with top developers, ensuring high-quality code, participating in Agile ceremonies (SAFe), and exploring new technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and building scalable enterprise applications and internal developer platforms.
- Writing clean, maintainable code and conducting thorough code reviews.
- Implementing new features and ensuring adherence to HBK Design Systems.
- Conducting unit, component, functional, and non-functional testing with TDD principles.
- Actively participating in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, PI Planning, and retrospectives.
- Engaging in pair programming and backlog refinement.
- Exploring and evaluating new technologies to improve development processes.
- Working across the technology stack and creating prototypes.
- Managing technical debt and utilizing CI/CD pipelines.
- Participating in incident response, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring.
- Committing to continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and feedback integration.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience with enterprise-grade technologies (Python, Java, .NET, JavaScript).
- Strong expertise in cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Azure.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Solid understanding of backend design principles, RESTful APIs, microservices, and security.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and CI/CD.
- Experience with automated unit tests and TDD.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to AI/ML model integration, intelligent automation, or data pipelines.
- Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js).
- Good understanding of runtime environments (CLR, JVM).
- Background in open-source contributions.
