💻 Backend Engineer (2-5 Years Experience)

As a Backend Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and scaling the core infrastructure that powers AI-driven content generation workflows, currently utilized by over 30,000 teams. Your responsibilities will include developing high-performance APIs, distributed systems, and data pipelines capable of handling large-scale video processing, transcription, and AI inference workloads.

This role is perfectly suited for engineers who thrive on building robust backend systems, tackling scalability challenges, and contributing to high-growth startup environments.

🧩 What You’ll Do

• ⚙️ Backend System Development: Design and develop scalable APIs and microservices using Go and Python. Build reliable backend systems that are the backbone of content generation pipelines, taking ownership of features from initial design through to deployment.
• 📊 Data & Compute Architecture: Architect and optimize data pipelines for efficient video processing and transcription. Build scalable compute workflows for AI inference, ensuring systems can handle high throughput with low latency.
• 📦 Platform Integrations: Develop and maintain seamless integrations with popular platforms such as Confluence, Notion, and Google Docs. Design clean APIs to facilitate effortless third-party connectivity.
• 📈 Reliability & Performance: Ensure the high performance, reliability, and scalability of systems serving a user base of over 30,000 teams. Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting for production-grade stability. Debug production issues efficiently and continuously enhance system robustness.
• ☁️ Cloud & Infrastructure: Deploy and manage services across major cloud platforms including AWS, GCP, or Azure. Work with containerized deployments and distributed systems. Contribute actively to architectural decisions that drive the scaling of our backend infrastructure.

✅ You’re a Great Fit If You

• Possess 2+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
• Are highly proficient in either Go or Python.
• Have hands-on experience with MongoDB and strong database design principles.
• Have prior experience working with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Understand the fundamental principles of distributed systems.
• Have previous startup experience (preferred).
• Have exposure to AI-driven automation workflows (a plus).
