Backend Developer

Overview:

We are seeking a motivated Ruby on Rails Developer to join our engineering team and contribute to building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend applications. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails, RESTful API development, PostgreSQL, along with strong understanding of software development principles and coding best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Backend Development: Design, develop and maintain web applications using Ruby on Rails.
• API Development: Build RESTful APIs with proper authentication, authorization, validation, and error handling.
• Database Management: Work with PostgreSQL and ActiveRecord to manage operations efficiently.
• Code Quality: Write clean, modular code following OOP principles and SOLID guidelines.
• Debugging & Troubleshooting: Resolve application bugs and performance bottlenecks effectively.
• Testing: Maintain automated tests using RSpec or Minitest to ensure reliability.

Educational Requirements:

Candidates must have completed at least a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related fields. Postgraduates are welcome.
