Backend Developer

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team at Khelo Tech & Strategy Private Limited in Saket, Delhi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop scalable and high-performance backend services using NestJS, Node.js, and TypeScript.
• Design, develop, and maintain secure RESTful APIs and backend modules.
• Optimize database schemas, queries, relationships, and indexes for MySQL/PostgreSQL or MongoDB environments.
• Implement robust authentication, authorization (RBAC), validation, and adhere to security best practices.
• Integrate backend APIs with frontend applications and third-party services seamlessly.
• Identify, debug, and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues efficiently.
• Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and thoroughly tested code.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and project managers.
• Contribute to system architecture design, conduct technical reviews, create documentation, and manage deployments.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4+ years of professional backend development experience required.
• Strong hands-on expertise with NestJS, Node.js, TypeScript, and JavaScript frameworks.
• In-depth understanding of NestJS core concepts: modules, controllers, services, dependency injection, guards, pipes, interceptors, and middleware.
• Demonstrable experience in building REST APIs using Swagger/OpenAPI standards.
• Proficiency with MySQL/PostgreSQL database design, SQL transactions, query optimization, or MongoDB NoSQL patterns.
• Familiarity with ORMs such as TypeORM, Prisma, or similar tools is required.
• Solid understanding of JWT tokens, RBAC models, authentication protocols, and backend security measures.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and scalable system design patterns.
• Strong debugging skills and problem-solving aptitude in production environments.
• Proficiency with Git version control and API development tools like Postman.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with caching solutions (Redis) or message queues (RabbitMQ/Kafka).
• Experience containerizing applications using Docker and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
• Cloud platform experience on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks like Jest.
• Familiarity with React/Next.js frontend technologies is a plus.
• Experience building enterprise-grade applications handling high traffic volumes.

Education:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Annual Salary: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00
• Provident Fund coverage.
