Backend Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Developer to join our team in Mumbai. This is a permanent position where you will play a key role in developing and delivering impactful features. We value engineers who are passionate about problem-solving and driving projects from inception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy backend solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Participate in code reviews, refining designs and managing pull requests in a collaborative coding environment using Git.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree, ideally in a technical field. Equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.
• Strong knowledge of semantic HTML and CSS.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PHP and Python. Familiarity with frameworks like CodeIgniter or Laravel is a plus.
• Experience with responsive design/development and mobile-web best practices.
• Proven ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion.
• A strong aptitude for problem-solving and delivering functional features.
• Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, including Git version control, design refinement, code reviews, and managing pull requests.

Bonus Points

• Knowledge of Cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Business-Driven Development (BDD).
