Backend Developer

About the Role

Join AlgoSec's global team in Gurgaon, New Delhi region, as a bright Software Engineer on our Analytics Team. You will focus on expanding solutions by learning diverse firewalls and network devices, implementing configuration analysis, and managing complex security policies.

Your Mission:

Take part in an exciting product phase with significant impact. Analyze, design, and develop new backend features; redesign bottlenecks for scale; maintain services; and deliver APIs for visibility across on-premise and cloud networks. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design, and develop complex backend features while redesigning bottlenecks for scale.
• Own feature development from requirement definition to final deliverable.

Mandatory Requirements:

• B.Sc. in Computer Sciences/Engineering from a recognized university.
• 5+ years of experience in software development (Mid-to-Senior Level).
• Proficiency in Linux/UNIX environments, Java, and server-side development.
• Experience with Spring Framework and Hibernate.
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) is preferred.

Nightly AI & Innovation Skills Required:

• Prompt Engineering: Proven ability to use AI chatbots (e.g., ChatGPT) for test scenario creation, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
• Coding Assistants: Effective usage of tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor within development environments.
• AI Agents & MCPs: Ability to develop, use, and configure AI Agents (MCP - Model Context Protocol) effectively.

Advantageous Skills:

• Experience with Pearl/C languages.
• In-depth knowledge of networking, routing protocols, firewalls, and policy analysis/optimization.
• RAG pipelines and semantic search (vector databases).
