Backend Developer

MathiVerse is seeking a skilled Backend Developer with 3+ years of experience to join our Chennai-based team. This full-time, in-person role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining our core API and orchestration services. You will leverage Django, PostgreSQL, and Redis to build scalable REST APIs, manage background job orchestration, and ensure seamless integration between system components and third-party services.

Key responsibilities include developing REST APIs with Django/Django REST Framework, creating and optimizing PostgreSQL schemas and queries, managing background tasks with Celery and Redis, and integrating with third-party APIs. You will also implement caching strategies, collaborate with frontend engineers, write unit and integration tests, and work with DevOps for deployment and monitoring.

We are looking for candidates with strong experience in Django/Django REST Framework, advanced SQL and PostgreSQL performance tuning skills, and hands-on experience with Redis for caching and task queues. Familiarity with Docker, Git workflows, Flask, and FastAPI is also required.
