About The Role
As a Backend Developer specializing in Security at IBM Infrastructure & Technology, you will join an agile team designing and operating the resilient systems that keep the world running. From high-resiliency mainframes to hybrid cloud platforms, your work ensures performance, security, and scalability for global clients.
Your Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Create secure solutions for IBM Z using GoLang, Python, REST APIs, gRPC, and leveraging DevOps standards to deliver world-class quality and stability.
- Security First: Apply "Privacy by Design" principles, conduct threat modeling, and ensure all code meets strict industry security practices.
- Automation & Orchestration: Utilize Ansible/Terraform for automation, manage containers (Docker/Podman), and orchestrate deployments via Kubernetes/OpenShift in production Linux environments (RHEL/Ubuntu).
- Collaboration: Work with diverse global teams to understand client requirements and deliver scalable infrastructure.
Required Expertise
- Experience: Up to 10 years in production Linux environments.
- Languages & Tools: Proficiency in GoLang, Python; scripting with Bash/KSH/Jenkins;
- Cloud & Containers: Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, container registries, virtualization (Hypervisors), and cloud concepts.
Digital Assets Domain
Familiarity with digital assets including Blockchain frameworks like Hyperledger Fabric is a plus. You will also contribute to monitoring/logging solutions and leverage hardware features of IBM Z platforms for cybersecurity compliance.
