Backend Developer

Role Overview: This position owns the backend platform architecture for a high-frequency AI/ML serving environment, responsible for real-time data pipelines, quantitative computation, and acting as the technical anchor for rapid team scaling.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build the core REST + WebSocket API layer to serve web/mobile apps and future integrations. Implement robust rate limiting, OAuth 2.0 authentication with broker SSO, caching strategies, versioning, and comprehensive documentation.
- Develop a native order management system handling full execution stacks including position sync, holdings management, margin calculation, and risk controls.
- Architect domain-bounded microservices to replace the monolith: User Service, Query Engine, Market Data Service, Portfolio Service, and Alert Service.
- Manage real-time WebSocket gateways supporting 10K+ concurrent connections with efficient subscription logic and reconnection handling.

Infrastructure & DevOps:
- Orchestrate AWS EKS (Kubernetes) clusters using Helm charts for auto-scaling policies and incident response.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions to ensure reliability in production environments.

Technical Requirements:
- 5-6 years of backend engineering experience with proficiency in GoLang, C++, Rust, or Java.
- Deep expertise in distributed systems: event-driven architecture, message queues, and eventual consistency patterns.
- Advanced database design skills focusing on PostgreSQL (primary), Redis for caching/pub/sub, and time-series workloads.

Bonus Points:
- Experience with broker/trading platform APIs covering order lifecycle management.
- Proven WebSocket expertise at scale (10K+ concurrent connections).
- History of building fintech systems handling real money, payments, or trading platforms.
