Senior TypeScript Engineer - WPP Open

About the Job:

We are seeking a Senior TypeScript Engineer for our AI-enabled marketing operating system, WPP Open, used by leading brands and agencies worldwide. Our engineering teams in India collaborate closely with colleagues across UK and Europe to build scalable solutions.

• Responsibilities:
• Design, build, test and ship production code every sprint using a test-first approach.
• Own components or services end-to-end: design, API contracts (OpenAPI), data models, Playwright tests, monitoring, and runbooks.
• Create architecture decision records and review peer code with rigour.
• Select between AWS Lambda and Kubernetes for workloads; build/maintain CI/CD pipelines using CDK or SAM.
• Lead incident triage, write post-incident reviews (PIRs), and fix root causes.
• Build production AI features leveraging Anthropic/OpenAI APIs with MCP servers.
• Mentor junior engineers across globally distributed teams.
