About the Opportunity
The Personalization (PZN) Team: We make deciding what to listen next easier and more enjoyable for every user worldwide. Our mission is to understand music, podcasts, and audiobooks better than anyone else to provide great recommendations through products like Home, Search, Made For You, Discover Weekly, and Daily Mix.
The TurnTable Team: We own the AI DJ interactive listening experience and innovate within an agentic world. We are seeking a Backend Engineer to build our storytelling capabilities.
Your Role
- Design, build, evaluate, and ship LLM-based solutions for an interactive DJ experience and 'Just Press to Play' functionality on Talk.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with user research, design, data science, product management, and engineering teams to advance our mission of connecting artists and fans in personalized ways.
- Serve as a technical leader within autonomous, cross-functional agile teams.
- Lead the company-wide backend developer community, driving architecture evolution across Avenue Code.
You Are
- An expert who works directly with stakeholders to develop APIs and systems that drive adoption while reducing custom one-off implementations.
- A professional experienced in LLMs or Machine Learning Systems.
- Someone capable of writing distributed, high-volume services deployed reliably in production environments.
- An innovator who thrives on experimentation and rapid iteration.
- A specialist with deep knowledge of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
