About the Role

Thinknova is hiring for a Backend Developer Internship, offering freshers practical exposure to server-side logic development, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and API integration. This paid remote internship in India lasts 3 months with performance-based stipends up to ₹10,000.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust server-side application logic using Python, Java, PHP, or Node.js.
• Build and integrate REST APIs for seamless frontend-backend communication.
• Manage databases to store, retrieve, update, and validate critical data securely.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and input validation best practices.
• Test, debug, and optimize backend functionality for peak performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with remote frontend teams to integrate features effectively.
• Maintain clear documentation of code, API endpoints, and technical approaches using Git.

Requirements

Ideal for freshers or beginners in software engineering. Requires strong logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn. Familiarity with backend languages (Python/Java/etc.), database concepts, REST APIs, HTTP protocols, Git version control, and secure coding practices is essential. Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.
